I am a Russian-born, Seattle-bred bilingual screenwriter, who explores themes of familial trauma and unrequited love through action-packed thrillers and grounded science fiction. My work is heavily inspired by classic arts and my time as a ballet dancer, as well as my own immigrant story and upbringing during the fall of communism in Russia. While I have an expansive background in classical art, dance, and literature, I'm a huge nerd and gamer with a love for all things sci-fi. I also grew up on Jackie Chan and James Bond movies.
My work has garnered several accolades. My screenplay, ABSENCE OF COURAGE, won the UCLA Screenwriter’s Showcase, placed Top 20% in the Nicholl Fellowship, and was the top script on The Hit List. My screenplay, TO MARS, is a finalist at the 2021 Austin Film Festival and a Second Rounder in the 2021 Launch Pad Feature Competition. Most recently, I have finished an action-packed thriller titled, A PLACE CALLED MIDNIGHT, about a mobsters daughter escaping an abusive home. I also co-wrote and directed the award-winning web series STUPID CUPID. It premiered at Dances With Films 2021 and has screened at the 2021 La Femme International Film Festival. It also won Best Director, Best Web Series, and Best Screenplay at the Queen Palms International Film Festival. Stupid Cupid is set to broadcast on NYC Media Network in November 2021!
