Stephanie Halovanic is a writer and director based in Austin and Brooklyn. She wrote and directed her first short film this year called
But Humble Sinners, which will premiere at Austin Film Festival. She is interested in telling coming-of-age stories about every stage of life through humor and colorful set design. She is currently working on
Penance, her first feature about a Catholic school girl preparing for her first confession.
She is also a creative director and copywriter in the advertising industry, with 7+ years experience working with
McCann New York,
R/GA,
Sagmeister & Walsh and
&Walsh. She currently works as a writer for
Pinterest and runs a photo and film studio with her creative partner and sister called
Halo House.
