Austin native Paul Merryman is a film & television producer with a focus on amazing true stories. He holds an MFA in Producing from the American Film Institute and a BS in Radio, Television, and Film from the University of Texas at Austin. He started his career as an assistant to visionary film director Sam Raimi and quickly worked his way up the ladder. Following several years as Sam’s development executive, he branched out on his own as an independent producer. He most recently produced the Afghanistan War film The Outpost, directed by Rod Lurie and based on the book by Jake Tapper, starring Scott Eastwood, Caleb Landry Jones, and Orlando Bloom. Paul’s currently developing a slate of films and TV projects based on stories featured in Vanity Fair, The Atlantic, and 60 Minutes.
