Lorien McKenna is currently the Showrunner for a preschool show with YouTube Kids and has an adult animation show in development with Mindshow/Viacom. She's written for and developed with studios and streamers including Hulu, NBC, Disney, and Netflix.

A former Story Manager at Pixar Animation Studios, McKenna worked on UP, BRAVE, INSIDE OUT and THE GOOD DINOSAUR. She was the Associate Producer for Paramount Animation’s WONDER PARK, and the CO-EP for CURIOUS GEORGE.

She received a BA in English Literature/Performing Arts and an MFA in Playwriting from St. Mary’s College of CA, where she also taught as an Adjunct Professor.

McKenna lives in Los Angeles with her husband and daughter.
