Brett Wagner is a writer and director of films including CHIEF, CARE, FIVE YEARS, and the upcoming feature film THE BIG BEND. His films have screened in competition at festivals such as Sundance, Palm Springs, Woodstock, Napa, Aspen, Newport, BAM Cinemafest, Cinequest, and dozens of others. CHIEF received a BAFTA Award of Excellence and numerous jury and audience awards around the world. CARE, starring Rachel Brosnahan, won the Williamsburg Film Festival, the Los Angeles International Short Film Festival, and several others. His feature film, FIVE YEARS, was distributed internationally after a three-year festival run that included awards at the Victoria Film Festival and the Avignon Film Festival. Brett has also directed hundreds of TV commercials and branded entertainment projects. He is based in Savannah, Georgia and serves as the Associate Chair of Film & Television at the Savannah College of Art and Design.
