Let's start with a game of two truths and one lie.
1. In college, as I was studying to be a spy, I defeated Nick Kroll in the Funniest Person on Campus contest, hosted by my predecessor, Mike Birbiglia.
2. I am an honest, witty, and generous writer who brings an array of life experiences to the stories I create.
3. I am Princess of Genovia.

How did you do?
1. Truth. Sure, it was a long time ago, but I never get tired of telling people I am objectively funnier than Nick Kroll. And after an initial interview with the CIA, we both agreed I shouldn’t be a spy because I am too honest.
2. Truth. I am a confident writer with a personality better suited for a writers’ room than a lonely table at Starbucks.
3. Lie! The Princess of Genovia is Mia Thermopolis, played by the remarkable Anne Hathaway in the beloved 2001 film, The Princess Diaries.

I enjoy writing character-driven, heartwarming comedies, with the occasional pirate adventure or murder mystery thrown in. An underlying theme in most of my work is characters learning to trust their own instincts. Ultimately, I'd like to create a multi-billion dollar franchise that will make you, and me, but especially you, insanely rich.

While based in Austin, Texas, I am willing and able to commute, or even move, to wherever I can help make magic happen.
