Indie Film Track: Adapting a Story

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Adapting a story from one medium to another can lead to a myriad of challenges. How can I condense a 400 page novel into a 90 minute film? Is it possible to use a one minute real-life event and construct a compelling narrative? In this panel, writers will discuss the creative decisions that help them take a book, short story, or real-life event and put it on the big screen.

Must have an AFF Producers, Conference, or Weekend Badge for entry.
