Jenna Milly
Golden Arm Writer/EP
Hollywood, baby.
Jenna's first feature film Golden Arm (2020) garnered praise from the Wall Street Journal as having an "anarchic, subtly hilarious screenplay." The movie has a rare 100% certified fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
She wrote and EP'd the film with her writing partner Ann Marie Allison, and the two have set up several projects in the last three years, including the all-night caper, It's Wednesday Night, at Netflix with Alexa Faigen (Bird Box) and David Guggenheim (Safe House) producing. Their female ensemble comedy The Fabulous Four, staring Susan Sarandon and Bette Midler is set to begin production in the fall. And in 2021, the Austin Film Festival ranked the writing duo in the top 25 screenwriters to watch.
Jenna's previous credits include co-creating the TBS micro-series Gillian in Georgia (2010) which she also co-executive produced. She also wrote and directed the short film A Peacock-Feathered Blue (2009) which was an official selection at the Austin Film Festival, London Short Film Festival and L.A. Shorts Fest.
Jenna received her MFA in screenwriting from UCLA School of Theater, Film & Television program and has written for CNN, the Los Angeles Times and Entertainment Weekly. She is editor-in-chief of Screenwriting Magazine.
